The unique Monotype process uses a combination of painting and printmaking techniques. The result is a one-of-a-kind image that is developed on a gelli plate and then transferred to paper. We will use hand transfers (without a printing press) that you'll be able to do at home. Golden's new OPEN Acrylic works great for monotype. It stays wet 10 times longer than regular acrylics giving you plenty of time to develop your ideas. We'll explore additive and subtractive techniques. All paints and mediums supplied by Golden.
