SAA Annex exhibit / Residency
This series of paintings began while in an Artist Residency in NY at the Golden Foundation for the Arts in 2017. The focus for this body of work was a pigment investigation, exploring the interaction of color while building layers and developing textures. Corrine was deeply influenced by the landscape of this rural environment.
The residency will provide Corrine with a large space and the opportunity to continue her investigation of color interaction and implied textures using decorative tools, the press and surface manipulation with mediums, gels, grounds and pastes. in the past five years of training and residencies Corrine has developed a process of painting that is influenced by printmaking while exploring printmaking that identified as painterly prints.
